From Sketch to CAS
Deeo is fortunate to have a team of highly creative product designers we think of as “Imagineers”. They take our client’s aspirations and, starting from a sketch, develop their idea into the beginning stages of a product.
The next step involves Computer-Aided Styling (CAS), also known as digital sculpting, which is primarily focused on Class A surfaces. These are the surfaces that are highly scrutinised and stylised and are visible and touchable to users. Working on these surfaces requires specialised tools and skills that are not typical of product design. It’s crucial to be sensitive to both the designer’s and client’s intent, as well as the engineering requirements.
